10. Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

Information is stored in the cookie that is related to the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we thereby receive immediate knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves on the one hand to make using our service more pleasant for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.

In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a specific period of time. If you visit our site again to use our services, it is automatically recognized that you have already been with us and which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you (see section 11). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have already been with us when you visit our site again. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

The data processed by cookies is required for the purposes mentioned to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, completely deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.

11. Google Analytics

Artmaler GmbH uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on users' computers and that enable an analysis of their use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by users is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will shorten the user's IP address beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymization is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by users, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Users can prevent cookies from being saved by setting their browser software accordingly; however, this offer draws users' attention to the fact that in this case they may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. Users can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to their use of the website (including their IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Further information on Google's use of data for advertising purposes, setting options and objection options can be found on Google's websites: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/partners/ ("How Google uses data when you use our partners' websites or apps"), http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads ("How Google uses data for advertising purposes"), http://www.google.de/settings/ads ("Manage information that Google uses to show you advertising") and http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/ ("Determine which advertising Google shows you").

For the purpose of designing our pages to meet your needs and continuously optimizing them, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google"). In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies (see section 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as

browser type/version,

operating system used,

referrer URL (the previously visited page),

host name of the accessing computer (IP address),

time of the server request,

is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and to design these websites to meet needs. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other data held by Google. The IP addresses are anonymized so that they cannot be assigned (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, not all functions of this website may be fully available.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie only applies in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

12. Social Media Plug-ins

We use social plug-ins from social networks on our website on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR in order to make our company better known. The advertising purpose behind this is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. The responsibility for data protection-compliant operation must be guaranteed by their respective providers. We integrate these plug-ins using the so-called two-click method in order to protect visitors to our website as best as possible.

12.1 Facebook Social Plugins

Artmaler GmbH uses social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins can be recognized by one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on a blue tile, the terms "Like" or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and appearance of the Facebook Social Plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user visits a website of this service that contains such a plugin, their browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website by it. The provider therefore has no influence on the scope of the data that Facebook collects using this plugin and therefore informs users according to their level of knowledge:

By integrating the plug-ins, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the service. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to their Facebook account. If users interact with the plug-ins, for example by pressing the Like button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out and store their IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany.

Our website uses social media plug-ins from Facebook to make their use more personal. For this purpose, we may use the "LIKE" or "SHARE" button. This is an offer from Facebook.

12.2 YouTube

This website contains at least one plug-in from YouTube, belonging to Google Inc., based in San Bruno, California, USA. As soon as you visit pages of our website equipped with a YouTube plug-in, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which specific page of our website you have visited. If you are also logged into your YouTube account, you would allow YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this possibility of assignment if you log out of your account beforehand. You can find more information about the collection and use of your data by YouTube in the data protection information at www.youtube.com.

13. Integration of Google Maps

a. We use Google Maps on this website. This enables us to show you interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to use the map function conveniently.

b. When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data specified under section 2 of this declaration is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data is assigned directly to your account. If you do not want to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google saves your data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google to exercise this right.

c. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy: http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

14. Google Web Fonts and Hosted Libraries (open-source Java Script libraries)

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The provider is Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter "Google").

When you visit our site, your browser loads the required fonts from Google into your browser cache in order to display texts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

Google Web Fonts are loaded from Google Hosted Libraries. You can find more information about Google Hosted Libraries at: https://developers.google.com/speed/libraries/. Further information on data protection in connection with Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

16. Right of objection

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f of GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided there are reasons for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which we will implement without specifying a particular situation.

17. Data security

We use the common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) process during your visit to the website in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead.
